Biomedicinos mokslų studijų srities studentų adaptacijos ypatumai Utenos kolegijoje

LTStraipsnyje analizuojamas studentų požiūris į studijų aplinkas (informaciją apie kolegiją ir studijų sklaidą), akademinę bendruomenę, išsiaiškinta, kokie studentų tarpusavio santykiai ir veiksniai turi didžiausią įtaką adaptacijos eigai kolegijoje. Studentams, pasirinkusiems studijas aukštojoje mokykloje, kyla nemažai adaptacijos problemų, t. y. jie turi prisitaikyti prie naujos aplinkos, prie naujų mokymosi formų, grįstų savarankišku darbu, pakitusių santykių su socialinėmis grupėmis, naujo statuso ir kitų veiksnių. Išanalizavus studentų požiūrį į adaptacijos kolegijoje problemas, reikia jas spręsti, taip pat ir gerinti studijų proceso kokybę. [Iš leidinio]

ENAfter choosing studies at higher school, students deal with number of adaptation problems, i.e. they have to adapt to the new environment, the new forms of learning, based on independent work, new relations with social groups, a new status and other factors. This article analyzes the survey of students of Biomedical studies of Utena University of Applied Sciences about their studies, access to the information, developing abilities, factors having the greatest impact on students’ adaptation and rising problems. Problem of the research – adaptation peculiarities of students of Biomedical studies of Utena University of Applied Sciences and how they occur in the first year of study. Object of the research – adaptation peculiarities of students of biomedical studies of Utena University of Applied Sciences. Aim of the research – to investigate adaptation peculiarities of students of biomedical studies of Utena University of Applied Sciences. Objectives of the research: 1. To present students’ opinion on the peculiarities at beginning of studies; 2. To investigate the students’ view on access to the information; 3. To evaluate the influence of educational environment on student’s adaptation; 4. To reveal the factors that mostly influence process of adaptation; 5. To analyze the problems that arise during the adaptation period. Methods of the research: 1. Analysis of literature; 2. Analysis of written survey. The research involved 112 full-time first-year biomedical studies students of Health and Social Care faculty of Utena University of Applied Sciences.The main conclusions of the research: 1. The choice of studies at the faculty was determined by students wish to become a good professional in the chosen field. The majority of respondents noted - to study at Utena University of Applied Sciences is harder than expected. 2. Analysis of students’ opinion on access to faculty information showed that the majority of respondents receive sufficient information about the support for students, evaluation procedures of study results, study program objectives and content. 3. Assessment of the influence of educational environment showed, that abilities developed during studies, academic cooperation and college study base for independent work play important role in the adaptation process. 4. Relationship of students – a key factor that has the greatest impact on students’ adaptation process. 5. Students are facing these adaptation problems: lack of time, teachers‘ support, a wider range of working methods and forms, depressive longing for close ones. [From the publication]
