Lingvistikos ir meno sandūroje : Šiuolaikinių lietuvių novelių vertimai į prancūzų kalbą

LTŠiame straipsnyje analizuojami lietuvių novelių vertimai į prancūzų kalbą. Lingvistinės ir stilistinės vertimo analizės tikslas – aptarti savitus lietuvių kalbos sistemos ir stiliaus reiškinius, jų vertimo į prancūzų kalbą ypatybes. Tyrimo objektas yra keturių rūšių vertimo problemas lemiantys lingvistiniai reiškiniai (teksto vieneto supratimo problema, raiškos problema, naujų realijų aiškinimo ir neišverčiamumo problema) bei stiliaus figūra – frazeologizmas. Tiriamųjų tekstų vertimo ypatumai pirmiausiai aptariami kalbos sistemos kontekste, bendrosios lingvistikos kontekste, po to nagrinėjami lietuvių novelių meninių tekstų stiliaus (frazeologizmų vertimo) klausimai. Atliktas tyrimas rodo, kad versdami sudėtingesnės semantinės struktūros lietuvių kalbos veiksmažodžius prancūzų vertėjai dažniau pasirenka stilistinę neutralizaciją ir semantinį nuostolį. Neradę ekvivalento prancūzų kalboje, jie verčia sudėtingos semantinės struktūros, neretai konotacinį reikšmės komponentą turinčius lietuvių kalbos veiksmažodžius abstraktesnės reikšmės veiksmažodžiais. Sunkiausia meninio stiliaus vertimo priemonė – frazeologizmai. Straipsnyje nagrinėtos medžiagos analizė rodo, kad lietuvių kalbos frazeologizmai verčiami ekvivalentais, analogais arba renkamasi prasminį vertimą. Iš jų kiek dažnesnis – vertimas analogu. ENThe article analyses translations of Lithuanian short stories into French. The aim of this linguistic and stylistic analysis of translations is to discuss linguistic and stylistic phenomena that are unique to the Lithuanian language and issues involved in their translation into French. The objects of this study are four types of linguistic phenomena that cause translation problems (the problem of understanding text units, problems of expression, the problem of explaining new things/concepts, the problem of untranslatability of certain words or phrases) and stylistic devices – phraseology. The particularities of translating the chosen texts are discussed first of all in the context of language systems and general linguistics, then issues of the style of Lithuanian short stories (translation of phraseology) are discussed. The research for this article revealed that when translating Lithuanian verbs of more complex semantic structure into French, the translators most often choose stylistic neutralisation and semantic deficit. If unable to find an equivalent in French, they translate a Lithuanian verb with a complex semantic structure and often a connotational meaning component by a French verb of a more abstract meaning. The greatest cultural style translation difficulties are presented by phraseologisms. Analysis of the material chosen for this article shows that Lithuanian phraseologisms are translated by equivalents or analogues, or else a circumlocutory translation is used. The most frequent path chosen is to use an analogous expression in French. Research into examples of phraseologisms and other linguistic units enables it to be concluded that the problem of untranslatability is inextricably linked to issues of choice of expression.
