The Structure of social network : a diagnostic study of Lithuanian students' population

LTNors Vakaruose atliekami išsamūs socialinio tinklo tyrinėjimai, Lietuvoje, nepaisant didėjančio socialinio tinklo tyrimo poreikio, tokių tyrimų labai trūksta. Straipsnyje pristatoma požiūrių į socialinį tinklą istorija, analizuojama socialinio tinklo samprata, savybės, santykių tinkle ypatumai. Aptariamas socialinio tinklo vaidmuo siekiant socialinės integracijos ir socialinės adaptacijos, atkreipiamas dėmesys į socialinio tinklo disfunkciją bei diagnostinę socialinio tinklo vertę. Pristatomas lietuvių studentų socialinio tinklo empirinis tyrimas, atliktas įvairiuose Lietuvos universitetuose. Tyrime dalyvavo 305 studentai. Rezultatų analizė parodė, kad galima išskirti dvi socialinio tinklo struktūras: a) artimos aplinkos tinklas, susidedantis iš tėvų, sutuoktinio, brolių ar seserų, draugų; b) tolimesnės aplinkos tinklas, apimantis studijų draugus, kaimynus, gimines. Tarp tirtų socialinio tinklo funkcijų dominuoja finansinė-ekonominė tinklo funkcija. Tai galima paaiškinti specifine studentų imtimi, socialine ir ekonomine Lietuvos situacija. Tarpkultūriniai socialinio tinklo tyrimai galėtų būti itin vertingi, ypač praplečiant empirinių socialinio tinklo teorijų validumą ir tradicinių abstraktesnių teorijų universalumą bei prognostines interpretacines galimybes. Autorių sukurtą Socialinio tinklo matricą, atlikus tolesnius normalizacijos tyrimus, būtų galima taikyti kaip nepriklausomą diagnostinį instrumentą ar atskirą diagnostinį modulį, kuris galėtų būti integruotas į kitus tyrimus ir instrumentus.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Emigracinės nuostatos; Kosmopolitinis; Racionalus ir etnocentrinis požiūris į emigraciją; Emigrational attitudes (attitudes concerning emigration); Cosmopolitan; Ractional and ethnocentric attitudes to emigration.

ENAlthough the explicit studies of social networks are performed in the Western countries, Lithuania lacks them notwithstanding growing need for such studies. The article presents the history of the attitude towards social networks, analyses the concept of social network, its characteristics, and particularities of relationship inside the network. It discusses the role of social network aiming for social integration and social adaptation, and pays attention to the dysfunction and diagnostic value of a social network. It presents the empirical research of social network performed by Lithuanian students in various universities of Lithuania. Three hundred and five students participated in the research. The results of the analysis show that social networks may have two structures: a) the social network of closer environment which involves parents, a spouse, brother, sisters, and friends; and b) the social network of more distant environment: classmates, neighbours, and relatives. Financial-economic function of social networks dominates above other social network functions researched. This may be explained by social and economic situation in Lithuania, and the fact that the sample audience was formed from students. Intercultural studies of social networks may be extremely important, especially for broadening the validity of empirical theories in regards to social networks as well as the universality and forecasting-interpretation possibilities of more abstract traditional theories. After some further normalisation survey, social networks matrix, created by the authors, may be applied as independent diagnostic instrument or separate diagnostic module that might be integrated to other studies or tools.
