ENPurpose – to reveal how the subjective quality of life of employees is affected by the problem of reconciling work and personal time during COVID-19. Design/methodology/approach – analysis of scientific literature. Findings – the work-life balance can change due to the employee's age, marital status and even the level of economic development of the country. Reconciling work and personal time is a real challenge for a modern employee as employers place high demands on them and expect to reach the employee at any time of the day. Therefore, properly planning and dividing time for work and personal life so that neither side suffers becomes a real challenge, especially during teleworking. Research limitations/implications – COVID-19 caused a global pandemic that failed to be overcome for more than a year. Many organizations still work remotely. The article helps to understand the challenges of working from home in the context of the quality of life of employees, but the situation is constantly changing over time, so the insights of the article may become irrelevant in a relatively short time.Practical implications – in terms of application, literature analysis cannot provide advice on how to solve problems in organizations, nevertheless, the study serves as an educational reading for organizational leaders and employees concerned with quality of life. Originality/Value – there is a great lack of research in Lithuania on how employees succeed and whether they always manage to maintain a balance between work and personal time, or what methods employees use to achieve harmony of these phenomena.
