ENBishop Antanas Karosas was an exceptional personality in the history of 20th century Lithuania. However, little is written about him due to the lack of sources. After restoring the features of his personality and activity, his attitude to the difficult situation of the Church during the years of occupation, we see a faithful and wise pastor whose ministry is similar to a gruelling pilgrimage, constant suffering, sometimes and humiliation. The life of Bishop Antanas Karosas of Vilkaviškis can become a lesson in wisdom, loyalty, and firmness. Bishop Antanas Karosas was on the throne of the pastor of Vilkaviškis for 14 years. He had to create diocesan structures, organize the work of the curia, and provide Catholic pastoral care. [From the publication]
