ENThe article describes a plate release program for LITHUANIAN CREATORS dedicated to the commemoration of the centenary of Lithuanian Independence on February 16, 1918. The program was designed and implemented by entrepreneur K. Bačkevičius and the author of this article. It was launched in 2012 at the Lithuanian Mint, with the minting of 5 different metal (gold, silver, gilt, silvery, and brass) plates dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the blessed Jurgis Matulaitis beatification. In the course of 7 years, 40 different plates were minted in commemoration of the most prominent Lithuanian state-builders, who excelled in the fields of Christianity, politics, warfare, culture, and sport. The program ended in 2018 with the dedication of an exclusive silver plate to the Council of Lithuania on February 16, 1918 in Vilnius, which proclaimed the independence of the State of Lithuania to the world. The sculptor of the plates is Giedrius Paulauskis. [From the publication]
