ENIn 2018, the Diocese process of the beatification of the servant of God and martyr Bishop Vincent Borisevich was completed. Though the case of his holiness is taken care of by the Diocese of Telšiai, he is closely associated with the Sūduva land not only by his origin, but also by his priestly and social activities: this is what the main aim and objectives of the article are. Vincentas Borisevičius was born in 1887, in the family of farmers, in Bebrininkai Village, Suvalkai Province. He was baptized in the Šunskai Parish, studied at the Seminary of Seinai, worked for several years in the Parish of Kalvarija and in the gymnasium of Marijampolė. After the Seminary of Seinai was moved to Gižai, he taught Moral and Pastoral Theology. He was famous for his love for the near and loved ones. In 1946, he was shot in the KGB cellars in Vilnius, and buried in the mass grave of Tuskulėnai. In 1999 he was solemnly buried in Telšiai Cathedral. He was the first bishop-martyr of Lithuania in the 20th century. He was awarded the Order of the Cross of Vytis and the Order of the Savior of the Dead Cross. [From the publication]
