ENIn the article, the standpoint of pedagogues and 4^ grade students of Lithuanian gymnasiums on compulsion and drug addiction is discussed; it is considered how gymnasium students assess safety at their gymnasium and relations between members of the gymnasium community. The article is based on the investigation carried out at Lithuanian gymnasiums in spring 2002. The principal conclusion is the following: irrespective of generally favorable assessment of relations between the pedagogues and students at the gymnasium, both class managers and gymnasium students most frequently do not try to settle problems openly. They are inclined to provide secret assistance to a student in case he suffers from compulsion and especially in case of using drugs. [From the publication]
