Platelių bažnyčios architektūra

LTPirmoji Platelių bažnyčia pastatyta XVI a. pr., tačiau gyvavo neilgai – greit pastatyta naujoji. Reformacijos laikotarpiu, po 1567 m. bažnyčia buvo uždaryta, apleista ir apgrobta. 1598-1608 m. buvo pastatyta trečioji bažnyčia, kuri aprašyta 1715, 1729 ir 1738 m. inventoriuose. Ji buvusi kryžiaus formos, su trejomis durimis ir šoninėmis zakristijomis. XVIII a. I pusėje dėl karo ir 1729 m. gaisro bažnyčia sunyko. 1744 m. klebonas Jonas Vaitkevičius pastatė ketvirtąją ir dabar esančią bažnyčią. 1746 m. to paties klebono ir vietos gyventojų rūpesčiu suręsta Platelių bažnyčios filija Beržore. Platelių ir Beržoro bažnyčios yra seniausi išlikę mediniai sakraliniai pastatai Lietuvoje. Jos abi panašios, kryžminio plano. Platelių bažnyčios interjere išsiskiria didysis ir keturi šoniniai barokinės kompozicijos altoriai, papuošti kolonomis, drožiniais ir meniškais paveikslais su sidabro aptaisais. 1762 m. bažnyčioje buvo daug naujų, iš ankstesnės bažnyčios perkeltų liturginių reikmenų: paauksuota monstracija, kielikai, didelis kryžius, aštuonios įvairių spalvų kapos, 24 arnotai ir kt. Laikui bėgant Platelių bažnyčia ne kartą buvo atnaujinta ir remontuota, tačiau pirminė išvaizda pakito palyginti nedaug. 1909 m. įrengti žymaus meistro Jono Garalevičiaus perdirbti vargonai.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Bažnyčios; Plateliai; Church.

ENThe first Plateliai church was built in the early 16th c., but it was soon replaced by a new one. During the Reformation period, after the year 1567, the church was closed, abandoned and robbed. In 1598-1608 the third church was built, it was mentioned in inventories of 1715, 1729 and 1738. It was shaped like a cross, with three doors and side sacristies. In the first half of the 18th c. and after the fire of 1729 the church declined. In 1744 the dean Jonas Vaitkevičius has built the fourth church, which stands there to this. In 1746 under a supervision of the same dean and locals the subsidiary church of the church of Plateliai was built in Beržoras. Churches of Plateliai and Beržoras are the oldest of the remaining wooden sacral buildings in Lithuania. Both of them are similar, shaped like a cross. The church of Plateliai interior is decorated with the great and four-sided Baroque composition altars with pillars, carvings and artistic pictures in silver casings. In 1762 there were many new liturgical requisites taken from the old church: a gold-plated monstrance, several goblets, a big cross, 8 different colour kapas, 24 copes and other. As the time passed the church of Plateliai was renovated and refurbished several times, however, its primary appearance has not changed significantly. In 1909 the church was equipped with an organ remodelled by a famous artist Jonas Garalevičius.
