LTMokslo studijoje aptariami valstybinės lietuvių kalbos puoselėjimo Lietuvos kariuomenėje, lietuviškos karybos terminijos kūrimo 1990–2018 m. klausimai. Analizuojamas krašto apsaugos sistemos karių ir darbuotojų dalyvavimas kuriant lietuviškus karinius terminus bei tobulinant bendrinę lietuvių kalbą. ENIn an study the main attention is paid to the history of the Lithuanian military terminology creation and the achievements in this sphere. The archival documents of the Retired Colonel E. S. Kisinas, the Reserve Colonel J. Norgėla, the Associate Professor, Doctor A. Smetona, State Commission of the Lithuanian Language, Internet resources, memoirs of some participants of the military terminology creation, as well as the information from the military periodicals were used in the preparation of the issue. The scientific study reviews the historical stages of fostering the state language in the military and the development of military terminology and analyzes the experience gained for the centenary of the Republic of Lithuania and its army. The status of the state language in the Lithuanian Armed Forces complies with the requirements of the Law on the State Language of the Republic of Lithuania, but too little is being done to maintain the high prestige of the state language. Cadets of the Lithuanian Military Academy are taught Lithuanian language culture, but there is no special language course. Specialists of the specialty course and the Lithuanian Armed Forces are also not trained. When developing the national defense system in 1993–2018. 13 dictionaries of military and military equipment were prepared and published, which formed the basis of Lithuanian military terminology. Better results could be achieved if the leadership of the national defense system devoted more attention and resources to managing warfare terminology. The development of military and military technical terminology is ongoing. The material presented in the scientific studio has not only historical significance, but is intended to encourage and deepen the process of developing military terminology. [From the publication]
