ENIn the monograph the main principles and the process of comparative aesthetics and aesthetics of the East are investigated. In the first part the genesis of the comparative aesthetics and the basic historical stages of its methodological principles are considered. In the second part the originality of aesthetic tradition of India and the contribution of researchers of various countries to knowledge of the Indian aesthetics and philosophy of art is analyzed. On the basis of the analysis of treatises the author reveals the basic tendencies of development of the Indian traditional aesthetics and shows an originality of understanding fine arts. In the work the principle of hierarchy in the Indian aesthetics and its connection with the system of arts is investigated. A special attention in the work is given to the disclosure of an originality of the Indian aesthetic treatises and principles of aesthetics of architecture. On the basis of concrete texts the author proves that the art creativity of India is closely associated with craft. Religious ideals and art of India emphasize a value of symbolical perception of the world and orientation to canons and ideal proportions. In the third part of the book the attention is transferred to the research of the Chinese aesthetics and philosophy of art and shows that unlike India, where the literary aesthetics dominated, in China the aesthetics of the fine arts is allocated. The author analyses the role of Confucianism and daoism in the Chinese aesthetics, using the research of concrete texts. A special attention is given to the influence of daoism and chan on the Chinese aesthetics of landscape painting, which is considered one of the most significant phenomena of the Chinese and world culture. The research concludes that a unique chan aesthetic tradition is closely connected with a new stage of development of the Chinese landscape painting.In the fourth part the originality of the Japanese aesthetic tradition is investigated; its relations with the Chinese aesthetics and national cultural traditions, especially with shintó and zen. The refinement of zen aesthetics is overviewed in various kinds of arts: architecture, interior, decorative art, calligraphy, painting, ceramics, a tea ceremony, zen gardens, theatre, poetry. In the monograph the influence of zen aesthetics on poetry and drama, on monochrome painting "sum i-e", and also on spontaneous directions of painting (haiga, zenga, bunjinga) is presented. Also, a special attention is given to the research of penetration of the Japanese aesthetics into a daily life. [From the publication]
