ENLithuania has an old tradition of the sundials lasting from the middle ages. The equatorial sundail made by eminent hammersmith Vladas Kuzinas is the bigest one of such kind in our country. It was arraged in the area of Lithuanian Museum of Ethnocosmology in 2016. The equatorial sundial has advantages that it can be made without mathematical calculation, and, unlike most others sundials, may be used in any latitude if properly set up. It gets it name from the fact that the gnomon is parallel to the earth's axis and points toward the north celestian pole, close to the Pole Star. [From the publication]
