Išskiriami vertybių fiksavimo būdai, jų reikšmė plečiant mokytojui būdingą veiklos patirtį, gilinant ugdymo sampratą ir puoselėjant asmens savybes, reikalingas profesinėje veikloje. ENThe article analyses the significance of student art groups to professional training of teachers. It emphasises the fact that system of spiritual values from the basis for developing a personality. Therefore the author singles out such values as the truth, beauty and being kind, as well as ways of realising these values. These ways include cognition, creativity and an expression of one’s inner world by tracing interpersonal communicative relation. The above values and their realisation form the precondition for the development of a personality. It is also important to see how the development of a personality can be compatible be a teacher training and how it promotes it. The activities of an art group (including concerts, competitions, tours, etc.) create unique conditions for the participants to develop their understanding of self-education and development of a personality. This understanding is the basis for studying the development of a personality so it is also a precondition for professional training of a teacher. Since the activities of an art group are based on spiritual values (which are materialised through works of art, artistic activities, etc.), its participants acquire a system of personal features significant to professional teaching activities. In other world, spiritual values are transformed into a new shape – personal qualities, which form a professional competence of a teacher.
