ENThe Lithuanians identify Prussia in the first instance with Lithuania Minor - the part of Prussia that is considered to be the ethnic Lithuanian territory. Today only a part of Lithuania Minor belongs to Lithuania, i.e., Klaipėda Region. The article aims at surveying several images that represent Prussia (Lithuanian Minor) in the collective memory of the Lithuanians. Images of Herkus Monte (Herkus Mantas), the most famous leader of the Great Prussian Uprising, Martynas Mažvydas, the author and the editor of the first printed book in the Lithuanian language, and Kristijonas Donelaitis, the progenitor of imaginative Lithuanian literature were chosen for the analytical research and gravitation of the images in the collective memory of the Lithuanians in the 20th century was observed. It is maintained that the images stated above became imprinted on the collective memory of the Lithuanians after World War II and such imprintation was predetermined by the Soviet regime which encouraged it based on underlying ideological considerations. Images of Herkus Monte, Martynas Mažvydas and Kristijonas Donelaitis in their tum predetermined that the territory of Prussia (Lithuania Minor) became a part of the collective memory of the Lithuanians.
