Importuoti keraminiai indai Klaipėdos pilyje ir papilio mieste 1252-1600 m.

LTKlaipėdos pilies ir papilio miestelio raidos problemos yra sąlyginai plačiai tirtos. Vis dėlto keraminių indų klasifikacijos problema nėra sulaukusi pakankamai dėmesio nei Klaipėdos, nei Lietuvos archeologijos kontekste. Klaipėdos miesto ir pilies tyrinėtojai daugiausia tyrė temas, susijusias su miesto ar pilies struktūromis ir infrastruktūra. Tuo tarpu atskirų gaminių masinė medžiaga nesulaukė sisteminių tyrimų. Todėl lyginant keraminių indų tyrimus Lietuvoje su tyrimais Vakarų Europoje dažnai susiduriama su tam tikrų rastų indų grupių sutapatinimo problema. Be to, Klaipėdos piliavietėje rastų indų tyrimas ir adekvatus klasifikavimas svarbus dėl to, kad jis leidžia geriau suprasti Klaipėdos gyventojų buitį, klaipėdiečių gyvensenos kaitą, bendresnes pilies ir miesto vystymo (ekonomines ir pan.) tendencijas bei kultūrines sąveikas. Taip pat archeologiniu aspektu šio straipsnio objektas yra svarbus datuojant kultūrinius sluoksnius. Šio straipsnio tyrimo objektas - Klaipėdos piliavietėje iki 2014 m. archeologinių tyrimų metu rasti importuoti keraminiai indai ir jų fragmentai (395 vienetai). ENArchaeological investigations at the castle and town of Klaipėda have been ongoing for several decades now. During them an extensive collection of pottery finds has been gathered. It was greatly expanded after the investigations in 2014 as a large number of imported ware was recovered, thus allowing for analysis of imported pottery. Imported ceramics have not been analysed as of yet, therefore, this study is a first attempt to identify their place of origin and the scale of import to the castle of Klaipėda and the adjacent town. During the study, a relatively large amount of pottery was identified as the earliest known pottery type known from Klaipėda. This group included types such as the Paffrath pottery, proto-stoneware and near-stoneware from production centres o f Siegburg, Lower Saxony and Langerwehe. These particular types represent the earliest development stage in the history of Klaipėda (a time span between 1252 and 1325), which is significant since an archaeological layer, which would date to the latter period, has not been identified until 2016. The largest amount of artefacts analysed include ceramic ware dated between the 14th and 15th centuries. These mainly originated from production sites of Siegburg and Waldenburg. A lesser number of objects were identified as produced by potters in the centres of Langerwehe and Raeren. Aside from the 16th century pottery associated with the Siegburg production site, fragments of stoneware from Cologne and Frechen were identified. Furthermore, stoneware from Westerwald, dated to the 17th century, was also briefly discussed. This study also considers possible places of origin for other types of pottery. Author of this study proposes that types such as light greyware, redware and greyware could have also been imported. However, currently there is a lack of evidence to prove or disprove this suggestion. Therefore, analysis in the laboratory has been proposed for future studies. [From the publication]
