Skaitymo fenomenologija, arba kaip Džefersonas tapo Telšiais, o Telšiai - Džefersonu

LTStraipsnis skirtas siaurai, tačiau besiplečiančiai ir niekada iki galo neaptariamai temai. Mėginama suprasti, kaip atmintyje susipina dvi erdvės, visiškai skirtingos savo prigimtimi. Šios dvi erdvės yra du miestai: vienas, Džefersonas, sugalvotas Faulknerio, kitas, Telšiai, yra viena iš daugelio vietų, kurių Faulkneris nė nenujautė esant, bet kuri suteikė vienam iš begalės konkretizuotų Džefersonų pasaulio kryptis, gatvių išdėstymą, kvapus, garsinį foną ir daugybę kitų dalykų. Autorė, pradėdama straipsnį nuo savo asmeninio įspūdžio apie paauglystėje skaitytą Faulknerį ir išlikusį vaizdinį sąmonėje, jog visų rašytojo romanų veiksmas vyksta Telšiuose (mieste, kuriame straipsnio autorei tuo metu tekdavo dažnai pabuvoti), tokiu būdu įveda skaitytoją į skaitymo fenomenologijos lauką. ENThe article is dedicated to a narrow but expanding topic that is never fully discussed. It aims at understanding how two spaces, completely different in terms of nature, get intertwined in the memory. The two spaces are two towns: one, Jefferson, is invented by Faulkner and the other, Telšiai, is one of the places of the existence of which Faulkner had no idea. But it provided one of the many concretized jeffersons with the outlook direction, arrangements of streets, scents, sound background and many other things. The author begins the article with her personal impression on Faulkner which she read as a teenager and the image that preserved in her consciousness that the action of all novels by the writer takes place in Telšiai (a town that the author frequently visited at the time). Thus she introduces the reader to the field of the phenomenology of reading. The main focus is put on the phenomenological description of reading experience: the way space of the action of the literary work is experienced and the general power of a literary work to expand its space as if deploying it in the place of the physical presence of the reader. The wish to explain the twine of Jefferson and Telšiai is an attempt to identify a few starting points for the discussion of similar issues.
