Summary / Abstract:

ENThe aim of this work is to investigate the language of the manual Psychology of Occupation and Management used by personnel. This edition was translated from English and recommended by teachers of Personnel Management and Organizational Development Department as it is one of the key manual used for the subject studies. There are a lot of terminology problems within the analyzed publication. Firstly, attention should be paid to simplified and unfounded translation of some terms, to term derivation as well as to the malady of usage of pronominal forms in compound terms. Moreover, there are some mistakes in lexis, derivation of forms, grammar forms and usage of syntax constructions. The poor translation of some sentences and incorrect syntax constructions infringe the system of Lithuanian language. If the translater was unable to understand the text due to the complexity of terminology or its improper usage, it was the editor's and science advisors' responsibility to introduce all necessary corrections. The editions that are written in a poor language cannot be recommended for students as the basic subject literature due to its negligible attitude towards the subject and the state language.
