ENThe article compares the different understandings of Christian and Buddhist views of human beings. The Christian understanding sees the person as an individual spirit with its own substance. The main feature of the Buddhist view is that the reality of the person denies the nonego concept. It shows that the Eastern tendency towards antisubstantialism is also acceptable to the Christian tradition. [From the publication]
