LTTyrimu siekiama išnagrinėti, kaip populiacijos dinamika pasireiškia darnaus vystymosi kontekste bei įvertinti Lietuvos gyventojų dinamikos aspektus. Remiantis mokslinės literatūros palyginamosios analizės ir sintezės bei duomenų analizės matematinės statistikos metodai, šio tikslo siekiama sprendžiant tris pagrindinius uždavinius: 1) išnagrinėti populiacijos ir darnaus vystymosi sampratą teoriniais aspektais; 2) remiantis moksline darnaus vystymosi tematikos literatūra, pagrįsti gyventojų populiacijos dinamikos aktualumą jo kontekste; ir 3) išanalizuoti Lietuvos gyventojų dinamiką, tendencijas bei prognozes, atsižvelgiant į tris darnaus vystymosi komponentes. ENAccording the United Nations human is the center of the sustainable development concept implementation, because it has the right to a healthy and productive life in harmony with nature. Population dynamic problems are vastand complex and have a direct an dindirect impact on the social, economic and environmental development. Relations between demographic models, the level of consumption and sustainable development are very complicated because of differences in demographic and consumption of local, national and global level. The goal is to examine how the population dynamics occurin the context of sustainable development and evaluate the Lithuanian population dynamics aspects. This article presents the oretical aspects of population and sustainable development also indicate population theories, which examining population growth patterns and the theoretical balance between population, resourcesandenvironment. Based on mathematical statistical methods was analyzed Lithuanian population dynamics and projections, taking into account three components of sustainable development. In summarying, the population and it simportance for sustainable development can be argued as the question of how, many people will be added to world affairs, and how import ant for society will be the conditions of living, how they grow old, what do they produce consume.
