ENThough the Father dr. Jonas Juraitis has not left any monumental work, he left a non-erasable imprint on every person with whom he ever communicated. Memories about this exceptional personality, a philosopher and a theologian, will continue to be shared a long time into the future. Yet another matter is continuation of his scientific insights. Is it not necessary to put the ideas of Jonas Juraitis into a more systemic scientific shape and to embark on their philosophical interpretation? This article proposes a possibility of such interpretation by employing the concept of ethics of thinking. This concept was first used by Pope John Paul II during his visit to Lithuania in 1993; Jonas Juraitis saw this concept as exceptionally important. The first part of the paper is focused on the basic analysis of the concept of ethics of thinking. Further on, two articles by Jonas Juraitis are interpreted in the light of the results of the analysis; in these papers, the famous priest and philosopher elaborated on fundamental themes: relationship between rationality and heart theology, authenticity of prayer, meaning of contemporary nihilism, crisis of Christianity, ecumenism.
