ENComputerisation of teaching process in Lithuanian secondary schools is in progress. There are many problems related with computerisation of teaching and learning process. The object of the sociological research is the elder class pupils and their teachers of Kaunas secondary schools and gymnasium-school. The following research methods were employed: analysis of documents, questioning, observation and conversation. One questionnaire for each pupils and teachers was prepared. The survey involved 466 pupils and 84 teachers from Kaunas secondary and gymnasium schools. The purpose of sociological research includes exploration, description and explanation of social phenomena of computerisation of teaching and learning processes. The data of both questionnaires were summarised, appropriate tables and diagrams were drawn, the relationships between variables examined and the tests of statistical significance on the researcher’s hypotheses performed. The conclusions concerning the whole research and suggestions as to improvement of computerisation of teaching and learning processes in Lithuania are presented in the fifth section.
