ENThe introductory article presents an overview of the manuscript codex kept in the manuscript collection of Nikolai Tikhonravov at the Russian State Library (f. 299, no. 408). The codex, or at least part of it, was written down by ‘Zmitro slave of God’ in 1636, in all probability in the territory of present Ukraine. The focus is placed on the copy of the Second Lithuanian Chronicle at the end of the codex: it has been little researched and not published yet. The article deals with its characteristics and its relation with other copies of the said chronicle. The author maintains that the whole of the properties of this copy allows attributing it to the Second Redaction of the Second Lithuanian Chronicle, and although it is quite close to the Rumyantsev copy, it bears similarities with the Raczyński copy of the Third Redaction of the Second Lithuanian Chronicle. The publication also includes the transcribed text of the Tikhonravov copy. [From the publication]
