Šateikiai. Bažnyčios vargonai

LTŠateikių bažnyčioje išlikę XIX a. pab. statyti vargonai, savo dydžiu užimantys beveik visą chorų plotį. Instrumentą puošia didingas neogotikinis prospektas, greičiausiai sukurtas bažnyčios altorius kūrusių meistrų. Vargonai dviejų manualinių ir pedalinės klaviatūrų, šešiolikos balsų. Instrumento prospektas neogotikinis, vienalaikis su instrumentu, dažytas tamsiai ruda spalva, imituojant ąžuolo medžio tekstūrą, pagrindinę dalį nuo apatinės skiria profiliuoto karnizo juosta. Prospekto kompozicijoje galima išskirti tris bokštus ir dvi jungiamąsias plotmes: bokštus rėmina įgilinti piliastrai, trijų didžiųjų bokštų langus karūnuoja ažūrinės vimpergos. Centrinėje prospekto dalyje įkomponuota griežykla, uždaroma dvejomis durelėmis. Vargonų dumplių dūmimo mechanizmas yra sudėtingos konstrukcijos: dumplės dumiamos rankena sukant metalinį ratą, sujungtą su alkūniniu mechanizmu. Vargonų dispozicija romantinė, ganėtinai didelis liežuvėlinių balsų kiekis. Nors vargonai remontuoti 1933, 1957 ir 1989 m., jų dabartinė būklė vargana: instrumentą naikina kirmgraužos ir drėgmė, mechanika veikia triukšmingai, vamzdynas išderintas.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Bažnyčios; Muzika; Vargonai; Vargonininkai; Meistrai; Šateikiai; Church; Music.

ENThe organ built at the end of the 19th century has survived in Šateikiai Church up till now. It is so big that it occupies almost all the width of the choirs. The instrument is decorated with the majestic neo-gothic prospect, most probably created by the masters who made the altar of the Church. The organ has two manual and pedal keyboards, sixteen voices. The prospect of the instrument is contemporary with the instrument, painted in dark brown colour imitating the texture of the oak-tree. The profiled band of the cornice separates the main part from the lower one. Three towers and two connecting planes can be distinguished in the composition of the prospect: the towers are framed by deepened pilasters, windows of three large towers are crowned with open-work wimpergs. The musical instrument is installed in the central part of the loft, which is being closed with two little doors. The mechanism of blowing the organ’s bellows has a complicated construction: the bellows are blown by turning a metal wheel by the handle connected to the elbow-shaped mechanism. The organ’s disposition is romantic, a rather large number of the reed voices. Though the organ was repaired in 1933, 1957 and 1989 currently it is in poor condition: the instrument is being destroyed by bark beetles, when it is played mechanics makes a lot of noise, the pipes are out of tune.
