Tekstas, kontekstas ir istorija Algirdo Juliaus Greimo veikaluose

LTStraipsnio tikslas yra kvestionuoti teiginį, kad semiotinės reikšmės teorija ignoruoja socialinius, kultūrinius ir istorinius aspektus kaip dalyvaujančius semiozėje, reikšmės formavimosi procese. Tyrimo objektu pasirinkti Paryžiaus semiotinės mokyklos įkūrėjo Algirdo Juliaus Greimo veikalai. Bandoma parodyti, kad angažavimasis tyrinėti būtent tekstinius reikšmės parametrus yra metodologinio, o ne epistemologinio pobūdžio. Tad Greimo semiotinėje reikšmės teorijoje dalis netekstinių reikšmės elementų (teksto kūrimo aplinkybės, funkcionavimas visuomenėje, konotacijos, sociolektai) ne atmetami, o „paimami į skliaustus“. Tyrimas siekia atskleisti, kokiu būdu vyksta šis metodologinis žingsnis ir koks vadinamųjų pirminių diskursyvinių struktūrų santykis su tuo, ką Greimas vadina antrinėmis taksonomijomis. ENText, context and history in the work of Algirdas Julius Greimas The purpose of the article is to challenge the assertion that the semiotic theory of meaning ignores social, cultural and historical aspects as participants in semiosis, the process of formation of meaning. Chosen as the object of the study are the works of Algirdas Julius Greimas, founder of the Paris School of semiotics. The article attempts to demonstrate that insistence on analysing specifically the parameters of textual meaning is a question of methodology, not epistemology. Therefore, Greimas’ semiotic theory of meaning does not ignore certain non-textual elements of meaning (the circumstances of the creation of the text, its function in society, its connotations, the sociolect), rather, it “puts them in parentheses”. The article tries to show how this methodology works and what the links are between the so-called ‘primary structures of discourse’ and that which Greimas calls the ‘secondary taxonomies’.
