Summary / Abstract:

LT[...] Šio straipsnio tikslas - pristatyti ir įvertinti, kaip ekslibrisas - knygos nuosavybės ženklas - atspindi knygos vertę ir daro įtaką jos likimui ideologinės cenzūros sąlygomis. Tyrimo uždaviniai - išsiaiškinti, kiek sovietinės cenzūros metais siunčiamos knygos patekimui pas adresatą turėjo reikšmės knygos nuosavybės ženklas, ypač ekslibrisas; kaip šie knygos nuosavybės ženklai veikė siuntėjo ir adresato ryšius; atskleisti jų raiškos formą (laiškai). Tyrimui pasirinktas režisieriaus Juozo Miltinio (1907-1994) asmeninis knygų rinkinys, o šis pasirinkimas neatsitiktinis, nes Panevėžio apskrities Gabrielės Petkevičaitės-Bitės viešoji biblioteka yra paveldėjusi Juozo Miltinio asmeninę biblioteką, kuri dabar yra saugoma jo bute, autentiškoje aplinkoje - Juozo Miltinio palikimo studijų centre. ENThe article analyses one of book ownership marks - ex libris, its meaning for book value is discussed, how this function of owner's name marking influenced a concrete copy's destiny. The research is based on a personal library of famous Lithuanian theatre director, founder of Panevėžys Drama Theatre Juozas Miltinis (1907-1994), which is preserved in his authentic home environment at Panevėžys County G. Petkevičaitė-Bitė Public Library. The library is interesting and unique in a variety of topics and multilingual composition, as well as unique and exceptional circumstances of collection of publications. J. Miltinis in various ways collected and supplemented with new publications his personal collection of books: the books were donated by authors, he himself bought in the Pribačio and German bookshops of interwar period in Kaunas, later during sightseeing and tourist trips, some books were donated by the friends from Parisian times, but the largest part of the library are the books purchased and sent by foreign Lithuanians. As J. Miltinis the most supplemented his personal book collection during the Soviet censorship - in the seventh and eighth decades of the last century, therefore, we come across the publications marked with different book ownership marks. One of such ownership marks, found in the majority of copies of this collection is ex libris, and the majority of the books were sent by the artists Žibuntas Mikšys, Vytautas Osvaldas Virkau, Elena Gaputytė, Alfonsas Krivickas, and Alfonsas Dargis. The Soviet censorship avoided to expropriate the publications marked with ex libris, not accidentally the works of small graphics, besides other functions ascribed to it, performed the function of protection. The ex libris specially created and glued in the copies sent by Ž. Mikšys and V. O. Virkau to the owner of the library J. Miltinis are exceptional and worth to be mentioned. These ex libris were the stylish works of small graphics in both new compositional solutions (Ž. Mikšys) and expression of symbolic abstractions (V. O. Virkau), that have an inherent unity not only with theatre director's personal library but also with the letters written by the artists and preserved in Juozas Miltinis fund. Another example of publications with book ownership marks, purchased from the artists and dedicated to the theatre director, are stylized dedications by A. Dargis and a small drawing with an interesting accompanying inscription by E. Gaputytė. J. Miltinis' personal collection books with ex libris marking the ownership of other persons, when a copy becomes exceptional, historical and is a museum-piece due to book ownership mark - ex libris, are worth to be researched as well. The personal library of European level accumulated by J. Miltinis during the Soviet times is interesting in both its content and linguistic composition as well as book ownership marks ex libris, which provide much information about the owner of the library, his environment and the fate of the book.
