Challenges of final professional practice: students’ approach

LTSudėtingas ir daugialypis aukštasis mokslas turi derinti tiek valstybės, tiek verslo, tiek ir būsimojo specialisto tikslus. Aukštasis išsilavinimas turi užtikrinti aukštą profesinį pasirengimą bei jaunimo įsitraukimo į darbo rinką galimybes. Profesinės veiklos praktikos tikslas - pritaikyti praktikoje pasirinktos specialybės teorines žinias, kurias studentai įgyja studijų metu, t. y. plėtoti kompetencijas, kurios numatytos pasirinktoje studijų programoje ir kurių iš būsimojo specialisto reikalauja darbdaviai. Studentų praktika yra tiltas į sėkmingą įsidarbinimą bei profesinę karjerą. Praktikos metu studentai įgytas žinias bei praktinius gebėjimus pritaiko konkrečioje darbinėje situacijoje. Konsultuojami tiek įmonės, tiek aukštosios mokyklos praktikos vadovų studentai savarankiškai atlieka įvairias užduotis, numatytas praktikos programoje. Baigiamosios profesinės veiklos praktikos įmonėje metu pagilintos tiek teorinės žinios, tiek praktiniai gebėjimai yra labai svarbūs studento tolesniam kompetencijų ugdymui. Straipsnyje apibrėžiami teoriniai profesinės veiklos praktikos organizavimo aspektai, pateikiami Vilniaus kolegijos Ekonomikos fakulteto Verslo ekonomikos studijų programos nuolatinių ir ištęstinių studijų studentų požiūrio į baigiamąją profesinės veiklos praktiką penkerių metų tyrimo rezultatai. ENA complex and multifaceted higher education must meet the objectives of both the public sector organizations and private businesses. Universities of Applied Sciences are institutions of higher education, providing a high level of professional training and ensuring young people’s involvement in the labour market. The aim of the professional practice is to apply the theoretical knowledge students had acquired during their studies into practice, i.e. to develop competencies, included in the study programme, the ones the labour market requires from the future specialist. Practice helps students to build new bridges leading to successful employment and a professional career. During practice students can apply knowledge gained from lectures and practical skills in a particular situation. Consulting both the company and their high school tutors students fulfill a variety of tasks included in the practice programme. Carrying out the final professional practice at the company and knowledge gained from such experience is very important for the development of students’ competencies. The article defines theoretical aspects of the organization of professional practice and presents the results of a five-year survey of full- and part-time students at Vilniaus kolegija/University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Economics, Business Economics programme with the aim of exploring their attitude towards the organization of final professional practice.
