ENThe article discusses the conception of a career within the context of the professional development of a personality. The article goes deeper into the conception of a career of teachers according to the career orientations that they chose. Dominant career orientation was established – the stability of work and service. This would show that teachers seek for security, that is, they want to preserve the job they have and are apt to realise themselves in the sense of their calling – they enjoy teaching and taking care of others.
