ENHermeneutic pedagogical approach paves the way for building new multidimensional identities when identity is considered as dynamic and constructed, multiple and fluid, fragmented and hybrid. Cultural peculiarity is no longer a problem, it turns into a new knowledge and experience opportunities. Envisaging the potential of a hermeneutic approach to address challenges of future immigration when schoolchildren come from different countries and cultures, we recognize a new role of hermeneutic class - to open the way to understand deeper layers of historical and cultural experience, to identify potential social and cultural tensions based on differences and to create various forms of negotiation and dialogue. This chapter aims at disclosing the convergence of specific identity policy, unique trends in migration, changing educational policy and hermeneutic pedagogy in Lithuania. [Publisher annotation]
