LTStraipsnyje formuluojama vienintelio vaiko šeimoje socialinės situacijos pažinimo problema. Atskleidžiamas vaiko situacijos ypatingumas per jo santykius su artimiausia socialine aplinka. Situacijos išskirtinumas nustatomas komparatyvaus socialinio-psichologinio tyrimo pagrindu, lyginat vienintelio vaiko situaciją su vaikų situacija daugiavaikėje šeimoje (2-3 vaikai). Taikoma projekcinė R. Gileu (1978) metodika ir nustatomas vaiko ryšys su motina, tėvu, seneliais, mokytoju, bendraamžiais jam reikšmingose šeimos ir mokyklos kasdieninio gyvenimo situacijose. ENTraining children in a Lithuanian family is based on the agrarian economy tradition, which states that a child becomes a personality of full value only being raised in children community. Thus, according to this tradition, the qualities of a large family are always revealed. The state and society support the large family, for the quantity is perceived as quality. Stereotype thinking does not allow us to get acquainted with the small family. The model of a small family becoming predominant, raises the necessity to get know such family and reveal its social and pedagogical condition, estimating the pcculiatitics of the only child. Therefore, the problem raised in the article would let us form a new point of view of the modern family (one-child family) and its social and pedagogical function. [From the publication]
