ENModern Lithuanian city Klaipeda is multinational. At the end of the Second World War Klaipeda City as well as the whole Klaipeda region underwent significant national changings. The city was completely destroyed and in 1950–1960s the Soviet Government created here good social conditions for specialists-volunteers who coming to Klaipeda from different Lithuanian and Soviet regions to work for reconstruction of the port and the sea industry. The representatives of about 70 peoples and nationalities worked side by side in Klaipeda at that time. Many of them decided to stay there for the whole their life. The article observes perspectives of safeguarding and extension of folklore traditions of certain national unites in the context of the local culture life’s development. [From the publication]
