ENThe development of musical culture is a necessary condition for a comprehensive development of human’s personality, for the development of his/her creative, artistic and esthetic potential. This paper deals with the junior school-age children’s psychological-pedagogical peculiarities, as well as characterizes the authorial classical guitar curriculum in the context of the development of junior school-age children’s musical culture. In the process of the study, several advantages of this curriculum were identified: its orientation towards the development of junior school-age children’s musical culture, its short-term character, and diversity.
