ENIn his famous work "Social Question" K. Paltarokas - an eminent Lithuanian sociologist tries to find answers how to solve the problems of an ailing society. He analyses the social and economic conditions of the society. This work is based on the Papa Leo XIII encyclic "Rerum novarum" (1891), which has become the fundamentals of the Christian theoretical research. The author wants to find the measures for the social reform. He suggest to start by economic reform, where the Church, the state and the society must work together. The author supports the idea of the inviolability of private property. K. Paltarokas seeks an ideal model of the state and tries to make the rules of economic activity. The Cristian morals is the basic principle of the social and economic life. The ideas of K. Paltarokas were spread and found a baching in the Lithuanian society of the early 20th century.
