ENThe paper presents an examination of the criteria of the evaluation of the sociological thought in Lithuania from 1918 to 1940 as well as the principles of sociological analysis of the texts and the concept of the object of Lithuania’s sociological history. The sociological thought is regarded as an integral part of the whole intellectual and cultural life, an intellectual expression of the social consciousness and values of the socio-cultural movements.
