ENAccording to the data of the census conducted in 2011, the biggest ethnic groups living in Vilnius are Lithuanians (59.4%) and Polish (23%). Since the Lithuanian and Polish youth mostly speak several languages or language varieties, this article attempts to ascertain the actual usage of unofficial urbanonyms in the multilingual environment of Vilnius. The analysis of unofficial urban place names of Vilnius reveals that multilingualism has a different effect on names used by Lithuanian and Polish youth. [From the publication]
