Skatinimo ir bausmių sampratos raida Lietuvos pedagogikoje

LTStraipsnyje siekta parodyti požiūrio į skatinimus ir bausmes raidą Lietuvos pedagoginėje mintyje. Tyrimas atskleidė: 1) Iki XX a. skatinimo ir bausmių metodai aptariami teoriniu lygmeniu pradžioje remiantis Antikos palikimu, o vėliau Vakarų Europos ir Rusijos pedagogine mintimi, tik prieš kelis dešimtmečius pasirodė pirmieji empiriniai tyrinėjimai, kurie leido daryti išvadas apie skatinimo ir bausmių metodų taikymo ypatumus šeimoje bei išsiaiškinti pedagogų požiūrį į bausmių vartojimą; 2) Su metais prasiplėtė naudojamų skatinimų skalė, bausmių skalė sumažėjo, nes požiūris į jų vartojimo prasmę keitėsi: iki XIX a. pab. fizinės ir žeminančios vaiko orumą bausmės buvo laikomos veiksmingais auklėjimo metodais, vėliau, iki XX a. vidurio, imta abejoti ir smerkti tokias bausmes, nes pripažinta, jog vaiką reikia labiau girti nei bausti, dabar griežtai pasisakoma prieš fizines bausmes, bet tyrimai rodo, jog Lietuvoje tėvai dažnokai muša vaikus ar juos bausdami žemina, pedagogai jų taikymą šeimoje ir šiandien toleruoja. 3) Reikalavimai stimuliacinių metodų taikymui vis didėjo – pradžioje tėvai ir mokytojai buvo skatinimus ir bausmes naudoti saikingai, pelnytai, bausti be įniršio, vėliau reikalaujama bausti nuoširdžiai, daryti tai laiku ir vietoje, neskirti kolektyvinių bausmių, pastaruoju metu daugiau dėmesio kreipiama į tai, kad skatinant ir baudžiant būtų atsižvelgta į vaiko individualybę. ENThe article aims demonstrating the development of attitude towards incentive and discipline measures in Lithuanian pedagogy. The research revealed the following: 1) up to the 20th century, methods of incentive and discipline measures were discussed on the theoretical level—first of all basing them on heritage of the antique world and later on the pedagogical idea of the Western Europe and Russia—and the first empirical studies emerged only few decades ago, which allowed making conclusions regarding peculiarities pertaining to methods of incentive and discipline measures applied in families and ascertaining the attitude of pedagogues towards use of discipline measures; 2) in time, the scale of incentive measures extended while the scale of discipline measures decreased as the attitude toward the significance of their use changed: up to the end of the 19th century, physical and derogatory discipline measures were regarded as effective educating methods, and later—up until the middle of the 20th century—such discipline measures started to be questioned and reprobated as it was acknowledged that a child needs to be encouraged more than punished, although the research shows that in Lithuania, parents rather frequently physically punish children and humiliate them by punishing, and pedagogues tolerate such punishments in a family setting. 3) Requirements for application of methods continued increasing—at the beginning parents and teachers were using incentive and discipline measures differently, justly, disciplining without fury; and later it was required to discipline a child sincerely at the right place and time, avoiding collective punishments; and presently, more it is focused on applying incentive and discipline measures depending on child’s individuality.
