Kuršininkų kalbos ir etninės kultūros duomenų rinkimo ir saugojimo problemos

LTKuršių nerijoje nuo Ordino laikų vyko baltų genčių migracijos procesai. XVI a. ėmė dominuoti naujakurių iš Kuršo, iki XVIII a. keliomis bangomis apgyvendinusių neriją, kalba ir kultūra. Naujieji gyventojai netrukus sumišo su kaimyninių regionų suvokietėjusiu ir sulietuvėjusiu prūsų, kolonistų vokiečių ir pamario lietuvių kultūrų atstovais. Kuršininkų kalba laikoma Latvijos Kuršo tarmių mišiniu su ryškia lietuvių ir vokiečių kalbų įtaka. Kadangi ji netapo rašto kalba, religiniams ir edukacijos tikslams tarnavo lietuvių, o vėliau vokiečių kalba. Bendruomenė iširo po II pasaulinio karo, kai kuršininkai paliko gimtine, išsisklaidė Europoje ir nebeliko palankių sąlygų bei poreikio vartoti gimtąją kalbą. Tačiau chronologinė kuršininkų kalbos rekonstrukcija yra galima ir naudinga baltistikai. Straipsnis supažindina su kuršininkų kalbos ir jos tyrinėjimų raida, kelia diskusiją dėl jos statuso (tarmė ar kalba), pristato sociolingvistinę charakteristiką, jos ištyrimo būkle, svarbiausius uždavinius ir tyrinėjimo perspektyvas. ENThe research and recording Kursenieku language of the Curonian Spit was started in the end of 18th century. The first written source is a short dictionary of 278 words in Pallas "Linguarum totius orbis" dictionary. The linguistic research started in the 19 century and has continued up to the present time (A. Bezzenberger, J. Pläkis, F. Hinze, W. P. Schmid). At the moment, the author of this paper conducts most of the research: the language is recorded in several tens of hours of audio records, on the basis of which research is carried out and publications published. Several native speakers have attempted to write down their native language themselves, using Lithuanian, Latvian and German graphemes (Pietsch, Detzkeit). The research into the Kursenieku language is important to the Baltic linguistics, sociolinguistics, ethnography and history. As a dying language, it deserves as much attention as other endangered languages of the world. At present time, the legacy of the Kursenieku ethnic culture is being researched and published: the folklore, the ethnographic data. The most important aims are gathering and systemizing of the data since the data basis is needed. There is still a possibility to compile the audio records' collection. From the gathered data, a dictionary should be written.The systematic language description (phonetics, grammar, lexis, syntax) will be complemented considerably as well. After evaluating the data in the written sources and the condition of present language, it is possible to conduct the chronologic research in numerous aspects. Substantial financial resources are needed and therefore international projects have to be prepared and sponsored, especially by the interested states. The chronologic reconstruction of Kursenieku language is possible and useful for the Baltic studies; however, there is no motive for revitalization: nowadays, there is no community, willing to use this language.
