Summary / Abstract:

LTŠiame tome apžvelgiami šaltiniai atspindi Vakarų Europos šviečiamosios filosofijos idėjų įtakoje atsiradusius revoliucinio demokratizmo pagrindus, 19 a. pabaigoje susiformavusią materialistinę filosofiją, kartu su nauja socialine visuomenės struktūra pradėjusią plisti marksistinę filosofiją, ant dviejų amžių ribos suintensyvėjusią idealistinę filosofiją, kurioje vyravo katalikiškoji filosofija. Katalikiškoji filosofija daug prisidėjo prie profesionalios filosofinės kultūros kūrinio, filosofijos terminų plėtojimo, pasaulinės filosofijos koncepcijų populiarinimo. [Anotacija knygoje]

ENThe second volume of "Sources" covers the development of philosophical thought from the middle of the 19th century up to 1940. Ideas of Enlightenment that spread in Lithuania in the first half of the 19th century, contributed to the ideology of revolutionary democratism though the ideologists of the insurrection of 1863 M. Akelaitis, A. Mackevičius, S. Sierakauskas and others advanced and acknowledged the possibility and necessity of radical social changes. Šliūpas, J. Adomaitis-Šernas and others. [...] The main concepts of professional philosophy do not cover all philosophical thought in Lithuania from the middle of the 19th century up to 1940. Nonprofessional philosophy enlarged the field of philosophical thought and methodological principles, enriched the main philosophical systems with new theories and ideas. Philosophy as a form of theoretical knowledge is subordinated to principals of cognition that are universal, but the aims of philosophy have never been focusing on the analysis of the results of cognition: philosophy has always been the reflexion of socio-cultural life of society. Socio-cultural situation and the condition of the subject of the philosophical cognition determines the form of work that may not necesserily be a theoretical treatise. The conditions for the development of professional philosophy arose only in the period of independent state. The main part of sources of the philosophical mind are represented by works of writers, lawyers, historians, representatives of clergy and other workers of culture. It mainly refers to the texts of social philosophy, ethics and aesthetics. [...]. [From the publication]
