ENThe problem of the present paper can be formulated as follows: which quantitative parameters can be used to assess the organizational culture of the divisions of a clinical lab and how does the performance of the organization depend on its organizational culture? T he study aims to establish the impact of the organizational culture on the performance of a clinical lab (hereianafter: the Lab) divisions. It presents an analysis of the internal and external information sources of the Lab and the data of the conducted questionnaire survey (a semistructured interview). As established, the organizational culture of a health care institution inspires and motivates the staff to solve common problems, to feel responsibility, and to pursue common individual and corporate goals. The successful Lab divisions boast a strong organizational culture which makes a positive impact on the overall performance and its individual elements. The Labdeclared policy focuses of the quality performance as the fundamental value of the organization. The better the organizational culture, the faster the development of the Lab performance; however, the dependence of the tests to be performed by one staff member on the organizational culture is rather weak.
