ENThe aim of this study is use-wear and experimental analysis of embeddable bladelets found in the Katra 1st settlement (Varėna district, South Lithuanian region). More than 200 embeddable bladelets, the function of which still remains uncertain, were discovered while exploring the flint inventory of this Stone Age settlement. It was decided to explore the potential of fishing and fish processing function prospects of these tools by applying experimental and use-wear methods. In addition, the analysis of archaeological inventory in this settlement found remains of healthy fish vertebrae, which suggests that Stone Age communities fished and consumed fish in this area. The results of this research helped to collect more data on microlithic article usage and also some results were made on the economy model of Mesolithic communities in South Lithuania region.
