LTNuo seno Trakai formavosi kaip daugiatautis ir daugiakalbis miestas, bet XX a. antrojoje pusėje keitėsi ir urbanistinis Trakų siluetas, ir bendruomenė. Šiame straipsnyje, analizuojant ir interpretuojant trakiečių pasakojimus, parodoma, kaip ši kaita yra suvokiama, su kokiais reiškiniais ir kokiomis dvasinėmis patirtimis ji yra siejama. Nedidelėje Trakų bendruomenėje jautriai reaguojama į demografinius ir su jais susijusius kultūrinius pokyčius. Jais matuojamas asmeninis ir miesto laikas, jie keičia santykį su miesto erdve. ENThis is the third article published in Liaudies kultūra where the narratives of people of different ethnic backgrounds are utilised for researching the town of Trakai. This time the focus is on experiences from the second half of the 20th c., reflexions of such processes as the Holocaust, forced migration, changes in the demographic and ethnic composition of the community. In analysing and interpreting the narratives of the people of Trakai, it is shown that in human consciousness, change is not perceived as a sequence of facts – rather spiritual experiences from specific events are more important. Trakai is not a large town, all the people living here meet sooner or later; therefore, the fate of one person has much greater significance for the whole community than in a larger city where people do not know each other. In such a community, demographic and related cultural changes, which shift the relationship with the city space, are particularly sensitive. [From the publication]
