ENThe aim of the research project is to highlight the in/equality between women and men in the main areas of secondary education: concept, curriculum content, and educational standards (syllabus). Gender is the structural difference that affects the entire population. Neither woman nor man should be treated like a special interest group. Quantitative and qualitative research methods such as text content analysis, comparison, analysis, interpretation, etc., were used. Equality was mentioned only in some curricula (i.e. courses dealing with biology, both nature and human beings). The present curricula and educational standards (syllabus) of all subjects do not comply with the Law on Equal Opportunities (1999) and the main concept of secondary education (1997). It means that patriarchal stereotypes are officially introduced into educational Process and proceedings. The content of crafts and domestic culture is divided differently for girls and boys and reveals gender segregation. Some positive action is proposed for balancing the inequality between women and men in educational systems, as well as resource distribution. [From the publication]
