ENA museum is a scientific and cultural institution, which collects, preserves and exhibits historical and cultural heritage. An object of this paper is to discuss various possibilities, trends and forms of scientific museum activities. Museology is an investigation of museums’ organization, taking shape of their system, analysis of museums’ activities, their social and cultural weight. The aim of research in the sphere of collecting is a thorough analysis of collections and determination, what kind of exhibits ought to be collected, seeking the most exact reflection of the period, event or personality. The author thinks that systematising and filing of museums’ collections is an interpretation. Arrangement and substantiation of the structure is very important for further replenishment of the collection, making use of items for expositions, studies and publications. All the ways and means by which exhibits and collections are presented to the public (scientific conferences, scientific and information publications, expositions and exhibitions) should be called publications. Educational programs require competent scientific ground as well. [From the publication]
