Sutvėrimas : "kūrybinės" žodžio reikšmės motyvacija

LTStraipsnio objektas – pasaulio sutvėrimo kaip jo sutirštinimo, sutvirtinimo iš pirminės materijos „vandenyno“ samprata įvairiose pasaulio tradicijose, atsispindinti ir lietuvių etiologinėse sakmėse. Tikslas – remiantis tokia pasaulio samprata, parodyti visiškai pagrįstą esant veiksmažodžio tverti kosmogoninę reikšmę, o kadangi kosmogonija, kaip teigia M.Eliade, yra bet kokios kūrybos modelis, tai ir apskritai „kūrybinę“ šio veiksmažodžio reikšmę. Lietuvių veiksmažodis sutverti turi, be kitų, žodyninę reikšmę ‚padaryti, kad rastųsi kas tvirtas, kietas, tirštas‘, kurią tad ir galima laikyti reikšmės ‚padaryti, kad būtų, egzistuotų‘, o galiausiai ir apskritai ‚sukurti‘ pagrindu. ENThe subject of the article is the conception of creation of the world, as its condensation, reinforcement from the initial substance “ocean” observed in the different traditions of the world. This conception reflects in Lithuanian etiological stories as well. The aim of the article is to show that the cosmogony meaning of the verb to create is totally reasonable following the present conception of the world. Moreover, cosmogony, according to M. Eliade, is the model of any creation, therefore the “creative” meaning of this verb is reasonable. Lithuanian verb to create, except other meanings, has the following meaning: “to make something strong, substantial, thick”. This meaning may be considered as the basis of the meaning “to make something to be/exist”, and finally and in general “to create”.
