Luthers Katechismus als Sprachdenkmal im Baltikum

LTPalyginti mažos apimties Martyno Liuterio Katekizmo vertimas Pabaltijo tautoms tapo neįkainojamu kalbos paminklu. Kalbama apie tris baltų ir dvi Pabaltijo ugrofinų kalbas. Tik Reformacija ir ją lydėjęs užsidegimas leido išversti ir išleisti knygą tautinėmis kalbomis, nors vien šis faktas, kaip rodo prūsų pavyzdys, ir nebuvo pakankamas kalbai išlikti. Šiuos raštijos ir kalbos paminklus reikėtų vertinti tik kaip atitinkamos kalbos paminklą ir tik istoriniame kontekste. Kalbant apie prūsų kalbą, mes suinteresuoti Katekizmo vertimų variantais rinkdami mirusios kalbos žodžius ir analizuodami leksiką. Teksto (žodyno) lyginamoji analizė leidžia teigti, kad baltų skilimas į Rytų ir Vakarų šakas yra senas dalykas. Prūsiškame tekste aiški senovės germanų (pirmiausia gotų) ir vokiečių kalbų įtaka prūsų kalbai. Katekizmas (Katekizmo vertimas) ne mažiau svarbus ir estų kalbai.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Katekizmai; Kalbos paminklas; Raštija; Atitikmuo.

ENRelatively small work – the translation of the Catechism by Martin Luther – became an invaluable linguistic monument to the nations of the Baltic region. It affected three Baltic and two Finno-Ugric languages. Only the Reformation and the inspiration followed by it allowed translating and publishing the book into native languages, notwithstanding that this fact was not enough for survival of languages, as an example of Prussian language shows. These orthographic and linguistic monuments shall be considered as monuments of relative languages in certain historical context only. In regards to Prussian language, we are interested in translations of the Catechism as far as we can find there words of dead language and analyse its lexis. The comparative analysis of the text (vocabulary) allows maintaining that the Balts broke into the Eastern and the Western branches already in deep past. Prussian text discloses clear influence of old Germanic (primarily Gothic) and German languages on Prussian language. The Catechism (the translation of the Catechism) is not less important to Estonian language too.
