ENIn the scanty philosophic heritage of the young thinker of the early 20th century Romanas Bytautas (1886-1915), an important place is taken by the ethical ideas, resulting from the idealistic concept of being and the introspective conception of cognition. According to him, the spiritual essence of being may be deducted from its evident manifestations, notably, from the man’s spirituality. Morals testifying to the targeted arrangement of social life may reveal the expediency of being itself. Morals are predetermined ontologically, but not conditioned by the development of social life. However, in actual lite, morals acquire immanent regularities of functioning which are already predetermined by the social and not the metaphysic sphere. [From the publication]
