LTStraipsnyje analizuojami verslo konkurencingumo veiksniai ir jų vertinimo metodikos bei finansinės analizės taikymo teoriniai aspektai. Išanalizavus autorių siūlomas metodikas ir vertinimo modelius, pateikiamas autorės sudarytas uostų veiklos ekonominis vertinimo modelis. Siūlomas modelis leidžia įvertinti uostų finansinę-ekonominę būklę, remiantis apskaičiuojamu vertinimo indeksu leidžia nustatyti konkretaus uosto padėtį konkurentų atžvilgiu ir koreliacinius ryšius tarp įvairių vertinimo aspektų. ENPort is a significant part of global and regional cargo supply chain and transport network. Since ports can have a significant impact on the countries’ economic growth, it is necessary to constantly analyze, plan port operations, anticipate market trends and to improve the port’s ability to withstand the increasing overall competitive pressure. Traditionally, the performance of ports has been variously evaluated by numerous attempts at calculating and seeking to improve or optimise the operational productivity of cargo-handling at berth, by comparison of actual with optimum throughput over a specific time period. However, for the port it’s not only important that it is physically capable to cope with the flow of cargo, but also the potential competition for freight. The evaluation methods presented in the scientific literature allow evaluating only the technical efficiency of ports, completely excluding the financial aspect of the business or prospects of developing the port’s competitive advantages. For this reason, it is necessary to develop the port performance evaluation model, which will complement the technical efficiency evaluation models. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to create the Baltic States Sea ports’ evaluation model that allows organizations to assess their financial situation and to determine its position in the market compared to competitors. The paper analyzes the business competitiveness factors, their evaluation methods and theoretical aspects of financial analysis. After analyzing methodologies and evaluation models proposed by different scientists, the author created ports assessment model. [From the publication]
