LTLiteratūroje, mokslo darbuose XVIII a. pab.-XIX a. I p. sukurtiems istoriniams želdynams dažniausiai priskiriama kraštovaizdinio klasicistinio parko samprata. ENThe topic of Lithuanian gardens, parks remain little investigated. In literature, research works, parks created in late 18th century - first half of 19th century most often are assigned the conception of the classical landscape, whereas the romantic park has not received greater attention. Seeking at least partially contribute to studies of this topic, the article discusses various manifestation of the romantic park as a part of the neo-Gothic ensemble in the space of the Lithuanian manor. Several examples of parks in the romantic manor have been distinguished and analyzed - this is a romantic park as a part of the classicist - pre-Romantic park (Rokiškis, Merkinė), a successor of ideas of the classic composition (Raguvėlė, Baisogala), a part of the romanticized environment of historical castles (Panemunė, Raudondvaris), as well as cosmopolitan totality of the English homestead (Kėdainiai, Beržėnai). It was established that the scenography of the romantic neo-Gothic park consisted of: structures of neo-Gothic style mansions, arbors, islands in plastic-form water pools, observation hills, menageries, individual trees or their groups, displayed in pictorial park spaces. For creating an image of the residence, selection of the neo-Gothic style with a “castle” and a pictorial park conception could be assessed not only as an eclectic fashion spreading in Europe, but also as a civil position grounding the link with the times witnessing history of the lost State.
