Sutartinės and Balkan diaphonic songs

LTTipologiškai lietuvių sutartinės yra panašios į Balkanų polifonines dainas. Kalbininkai pažymi tarp proto-Balkanų ir baltiškų tautų buvus artimus ryšius. Todėl galima lyginti šių dviejų kultūrų muzikos, dainų tekstų ir atlikimo rūšių polifoniškumą. Straipsnyje aptariama baltiškų sutartinių ir balkanų polifoninių dainų atlikimo maniera, atlikėjų pasirengimas ir vidinė organizacija, sutartinių ir Balkanų dainų terminologija ir kai kurių tekstų poetinės figūros. Ypatingas dėmesys yra atkreipiamas į priedainius, kurie yra stabilūs, nes to reikalauja ritmas. Sutartinių priedainiai yra garsažodiniai ir prasmingi. "Garsų mūša", vadinama "Schwebungsdiaphonie", rodo, kad žmonės estetiškai grožėjosi polifoniniu dainavimu, o sutartines giedodavo žemame registre. Aptartos ypatybės neįrodo baltų ir Balkanų santykių bendros kilmės, bet pateikia argumentus apie tokių santykių egzistavimą ar tam tikrą bendrą išsivystymo periodą. ENTypologically, the Lithuanian sutartinė songs resemble the Balkan polyphonic songs. Linguists note tight relations that have existed between the proto-Balkan and the Baltic nations. Therefore we can compare the polyphony of music, song texts and performance types between these two cultures. The article discusses a manner of performing the Balkan polyphonic songs and the Baltic sutartinė songs, preparation and inner set-up of artists, terminology of sutartinė songs and Balkan polyphonic songs, and poetic figures of some texts. Special attention is paid to refrains which are stable as this is required by the rhythm. Refrains of sutartinė songs contain onomatopoeic words, and are meaningful. “The beat of words”, the so-called Schwebungsdiaphonie indicates that people were aesthetically admiring the polyphonic singing, and were chanting sutartinė songs in a low register. The demonstrated features do not prove the common origin of relations between the Balts and the Balkans, but provide arguments for the existence of such relations, or at least a certain time-span of common development.
