Summary / Abstract:

ENProblem of the research. Nowadays possibilities aiming at the collaboration between parents and teachers are promoted widely. Traditional methods have been replaced by modern technologies. They are considered as time-efficient tools and allow problems to be solved immediately. Thus, the motivation of parents is enhanced, and active participation in the processes of education institutions is encouraged. While the pace of living is increasing constantly, parents of students become more physically distant from education institutions. If parents are invited to attend a meeting or have a conversation with educators, they stay dissociated and do not devote time for these educators’ initiatives. Digital technologies may be an appropriate solution allowing live communication, dealing with problems, and efficient exchanging of information of any format. Thus far, Lithuanian authors have been involved into analysis of traditional forms, strategies and basic aspects of the process quality management of collaboration between parents and teachers. The analysis of scientific literature sources revealed the necessity to perform the research which has been focused on the application of technologies designed for collaboration with students’ parents aiming at efficient communication. Aim of the research: to investigate possibilities of application of technologies designed for collaboration with students’ parents aiming at efficient communication. Methods of the research. Research. Questionnaire forms. The questionnaire form was used to survey the parents’ opinion; it comprises the introductory and basic sections. Target audience: the method of questionnaire has been used. The research was performed on April-June 2017. 182 preschool educators participated in the research.Procedure of the research: the questionnaire method was applied (the questionnaire form was uploaded in the Online Survey System (http://www.manoapklausa.lt). Data processing: the compiled data was processed applying statistical methods and MS Excel programme. Results of the research. The compiled data revealed the respondents’ objective evaluation of the environment efficient for collaboration. The educators demonstrate insufficient concentration on mutual solving of the problems. Unfortunately, the modern communication technologies are not efficiently integrated into collaboration process. Commonly, e-mails, social networks (the most popular social network is Facebook), the Internet telephony and the systems for exchanging links were mentioned. [From the publication]
