Ромува. Этническая религиозность в Литве

ENThe author of this paper analyses the process of ethno-cultural revival in Lithuania, expressed in form of ethnic religious movement “Romuva”. The spiritual aspect is identified in this movement more with local tradition, ancient Baltic heritage, which was kept in folk culture through ages. However some of the branches use the Christian and Oriental (Indian) religious elements too. Romuva consists not only the reconstruction of ancient mythology and believes, but also the forming of new religious system. Special attention is paid both to the history and contemporary situation in Romuva, to the views of leaders of this movement, to the cultural symbols of the ethnic religiosity in Lithuania.
